71% belonged to the best field service management software guide in that historical snapshot.
Research lab / Evidence registry
Evidence before verdict. Exceptions before scores.
This is the operating record behind our reviews: one controlled company, one scenario week, visible evidence states, and publication gates that commercial relationships cannot bypass.
products with scenarios S01 through S08 recorded
Current boundary
The desk research is useful. It is not a product test.
Official documentation, pricing pages, terms, APIs, and support articles build the test plan. A final score requires the same operating scenarios, intended plan, real field devices, financial exceptions, support case, and data exit.
Historical growth snapshot / 24 August 2026
A preserved baseline, not a live performance report.
These figures describe the 24 August note only. The downloadable evidence-coverage dataset remains a frozen 2 September snapshot. Neither is updated by a later editorial review.
This is the historical count, not a statement about traffic today.
The note recorded ID, intent, product, placement, and commercial relationship. Configuration does not prove event receipt.
The note recorded a login boundary on 24 August. Consult the current product record before making a decision.
Controlled company
One baseline, then the trade-specific pressure.
The baseline keeps product comparisons consistent. Vertical modules add the emergency, agreement, proof, and routing details that should not be flattened into one generic score.
Owner, operations lead, dispatcher, finance/admin, and four field roles across a primary service area.
Separate currency, tax, payment, messaging, product-availability, and accounting evidence where behavior changes.
Desktop admin, current iPhone, representative Android device, weak connectivity, and role-limited accounts.
Customers, properties, assets, price-book items, open work, recurrence, invoices, payments, attachments, and exports.
Eight-job scenario week
The happy path is only one of eight jobs.
Every candidate meets the same baseline. A product that cannot recover, reconcile, or export cannot earn confidence through a polished demo.
Emergency intake
A new customer calls with urgent work, incomplete information, and a narrow arrival promise.
Estimate options
A repeat customer receives three options, a deposit request, and a controlled follow-up sequence.
Dispatch disruption
Two urgent calls, a late technician, one reschedule, and one reassignment pressure the board.
Weak-signal visit
The field role uses notes, photos, forms, price-book items, signature, and time through an outage.
Recurring obligation
A seasonal visit, customer-specific entitlement, failed billing, and a moved appointment stay linked.
Financial exception
A partial invoice, two payment methods, fee, refund, payout, and accounting record must reconcile.
Automation boundary
A missed call, estimate reply, opt-out, complaint, and human takeover test every stop condition.
Exit and recovery
A duplicate, broken mapping, support case, core-data export, and recovery attempt expose lock-in.
Evidence register
Current files and the next proof required.
This table and the public evidence page use one shared register. Latest underlying check: . The editorial review on Sep 20, 2026 did not rerun these tests. Product dates and open gates remain unchanged.

| Housecall Pro Access blocked | Official documentation and observed eligibility gate The access boundary was observed. No authenticated workflow result or score exists. | Obtain a vendor sandbox, demo, or authorized US or Canada contributor. | US and Canada | Open record ↗ |
| Workiz Access blocked | Official documentation and observed +1 phone gate The signup gate was observed. No authenticated workflow result or score exists. | Obtain vendor clarification or a supported-country contributor without using inaccurate details. | United States | Open record ↗ |
| ServiceTitan Documented | Official onboarding, export, pricing, and terms sources Desk 1.0 only. No hands-on result, normalized price, savings claim, or score exists. | Obtain a dated normalized quote and an authorized sandbox before adding price or product conclusions. | North America | Open record ↗ |
“Desk 1.0” means primary-source research is complete enough to design the direct test. It does not mean the product has passed, failed, or received a score. Inspect directly linkable observations or consult the Pipedrive record for its separate access boundary.
Publication gates
Six locks between research and recommendation.
Affiliate eligibility is deliberately absent from the first four gates and cannot alter the frozen verdict.
Scope locked
Market, plan, version, device, currency, tax, roles, and vendor assistance are recorded.
Scenario complete
Every baseline and relevant vertical scenario has evidence, timing, exceptions, and screenshots or exports.
Cost normalized
First-year, steady-state, transaction, add-on, implementation, and exit costs are separated.
Claims reconciled
Observed behavior, vendor documentation, user reports, and unresolved claims are visibly distinct.
Verdict frozen
The conclusion, limitations, score, and re-test date are locked before affiliate eligibility is checked.
Independent review
A second editorial pass checks evidence, math, intent overlap, disclosure, and unsupported certainty.
Last recorded Tradify cycle / 30 August 2026
Tradify scenarios S01 through S08 were recorded; the verdict remained open.
At that recorded check, Jobber, ServiceM8, and Tradify had evidence states for their full eight-scenario registers, while Housecall Pro and Workiz remained blocked before direct testing by supported North American access requirements. The Tradify record retained the fictional intake, owner-only dispatch, bounded recurrence, linked draft quote, and linked draft invoice. S08 confirmed a manual duplicate-correction path, an owner-only account with granular permission categories, disconnected Xero and QuickBooks surfaces, authenticated support entry points, and documented cancellation and termination-export boundaries. One real customer CSV was downloaded and reconciled to exactly one fictional customer row with a stable Tradify ID and creation timestamp; contact and address fields were blank. Jobs and Enquiries exposed additional export controls, but no complete cross-object archive, attachments, activity history, support response, integration recovery, cancellation, deletion, or post-trial read-only interval was produced. QT00001 remained Draft and Unsent with its individual reminder off. IV00001 remained Draft and Unsent with its individual reminder off, EUR 0 paid, and EUR 104.50 due. No customer message, staff invitation, connector, support case, plan purchase, payment, refund, credit, payout, affiliate relationship, score, or public recommendation existed in that record. The cumulative record was 1 Pass, 24 Conditional, 0 Fail, 22 Blocked, and 1 Not run. The remaining Not run control was the safe deposit exercise; S04 can resume only with controlled iOS or Android access.
