The short verdict

Jobber is a credible first shortlist choice for owner-led plumbing, HVAC, cleaning, and landscaping teams that need one understandable path from customer request to quote, schedule, field work, invoice, and payment. The commercial risk appears when a buyer prices only today's headcount or assumes that every new operating control belongs to the lower plans. QuickBooks Online, checklists, automated payments, job costing, advanced quoting, custom automations, crew scheduling, and larger teams can move the account beyond Core. Model the team and feature set expected in month 12 before choosing a plan.

Who it fits

Solo operators and small home service teams that value fast adoption, cross-platform field access, and a connected customer-to-payment workflow more than enterprise dispatch depth.

Watch closely: The entry plan covers the basic operating loop, but QuickBooks Online, checklists, automated payments, job costing, advanced quoting, custom automations, and crew scheduling sit higher in the current plan structure. Crew scheduling is currently Plus-only and web-only.

Small-team buying map

This map is a starting point, not a plan recommendation. Confirm current prices, included users, regional availability, and the exact workflow in a trial or vendor-led evaluation.

Pricing and plan gates

Checked 10 Sep 2026 on Jobber's official US pricing page. Core for one user lists $49/month with no commitment, $39/month with a one-year commitment paid monthly, or $29/month billed annually. At five users, Connect lists $199, $169, or $149 per month across those same terms; Grow lists $299, $259, or $229; and Plus lists $499, $439, or $399. Prices are USD before applicable sales tax. Record the exact team, term, add-ons, payment fees, and renewal basis instead of comparing only the lowest annual headline.

Evaluation access: 14-day trial; no credit card required, according to Jobber.

  • Core covers the basic one-user operating loop, but it is not the right cost baseline when the business needs QuickBooks Online, checklists, automated payments, or follow-up automation.
  • Connect is the first plan to evaluate when a small team needs client reminders, checklists, automatic payments, quote and invoice follow-ups, QuickBooks Online, and time and expense tracking.
  • Grow is the relevant checkpoint for advanced quotes, optional line items, job costing, two-way SMS, and custom workflow automations.
  • Plus adds deeper operational controls and bundles products such as Pipeline, Marketing Suite, and Receptionist, but buyers should confirm current inclusions and team allowances in writing.
  • Model the normal post-promotion price and the team expected in month 12.

Strengths and constraints

Why it stays on the shortlist

The strongest documented signals

  • Clear request-to-quote-to-job-to-invoice workflow
  • Public pricing controls for team size and billing term
  • A 14-day Grow trial without a credit card
  • iOS and Android field access
  • QuickBooks Online integration and client-facing workflows
  • Record-level history is documented for requests, timesheets, quotes, and invoices
Where the decision can break

The constraints to price and test

  • Job costing is gated to Grow and Plus, while automated job costing is Plus-only
  • Plus crew scheduling is currently available in Jobber Online but not in the mobile app
  • A team member can belong to only one crew, crew leads are not supported, and future-dated crew changes are not available
  • Marketing Suite, Receptionist, and Pipeline are separate add-ons on lower plans but are currently bundled with Plus
  • Complex multi-role dispatch and reporting may push buyers toward Plus or a different product tier
  • The lowest annual headline is not the same as a flexible monthly cost

What we still need to test

  1. Repeat the required controls on the exact paid plan because the existing 48-control record predates the current plan structure.
  2. Create two crews, move one person between them, assign new and existing visits, and verify the web, mobile, notification, permission, and history results.
  3. Upload one synthetic supplier invoice on Plus, inspect the extracted draft, reject an incorrect match, approve a corrected expense, and reconcile the resulting job cost.
  4. Edit one request, timesheet, quote, and invoice with two authorized roles, then confirm the actor, time, field, previous value, and new value in each history feed.
  5. Complete a failed-payment and refund sequence, then reconcile two invoices and one edited customer through QuickBooks Online.
  6. Measure urgent rescheduling and field completion on the intended iOS and Android devices under normal and weak connectivity.
